Kansas City: High-Density Data Center in an Emerging Market with Access to Both Coasts

Metrobloks, in partnership with Lincoln Property Company, is co-developing a purpose-built, VR200-ready data center in Liberty, Missouri, with liquid cooling to the chip and rack positions up to 250kW. Built to Uptime Institute Tier III standards, the facility carries the thermal and electrical headroom to land Vera Rubin racks natively, combining low-cost power, robust fiber connectivity, and aggressive state and local incentives.

Kansas City has quickly become one of America's fastest-growing data center hubs, with more than $1.8B in recent hyperscale commitments and over 1,000MW currently in development. MCI-A leverages the region's digital infrastructure and strategic proximity to the Kansas City Internet Exchange (KCIX), delivering low-latency access to 14.3 million users within 20 milliseconds. The facility supports 100% liquid-to-the-chip cooling, fanless compute and NVSwitch trays, 100A power whips, and built-in concurrent maintainability.

Superior Connectivity and Resilient Design

  • 8 miles from the Kansas City Internet Exchange (KCIX), with 14.3 million users within sub-20ms latency.
  • Will serve letter received from Evergy for the first 24MW, with an additional 126MW power envelope.
  • 35.1-acre site with 150MW of total power.
  • M-1 zoned for industrial use, with data center use permissible without rezoning.
  • Outside flood zones, in a low seismic risk area.
